Northern Westchester Irrigation was founded in 1986 and is family owned and operated. Ron Messina Jr., a former golf course superintendent, along with his Dad, Ron Messina Sr., started the company which continues to grow.

Northern Westchester Irrigation provides the following services to Residential & Commercial customers:

We will design and install a complete or partial landscape irrigation system on your property. Our installation team will carefully and professionally install the system in a timely fashion, providing minimum disruption to your existing landscape.

We will design and install a professional landscape lighting system that accentuates the beauty of your home, upgrades property value & provides nighttime security.

We will winterize your irrigation system by completely blowing out all water from the components, preventing damage from freezing.

In spring, we will turn your system back on and ensure that all components are functioning properly.

We offer full repair and maintenance services for both residential and commercial systems.

PRODUCTS

Northern Westchester Irrigation features professional quality irrigation products from the leading manufacturer of irrigation equipment, Hunter Industries. Professional irrigation products are distinguished from "do it yourself" products in that they are of higher quality, more precisely engineered and can be expected to last much longer. Some Hunter products have a five year unlimited warranty.

We offer a full line of sprinkler products that are selected to meet your individual needs. These include rotors, sprays, automatic valves and controllers, mini-click and wireless rain sensors and back flow preventers.

For Landscape Lighting, Northern Westchester Irrigation offers Vista professional lighting products. Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting is a leading manufacturer of specification grade, architectural, and landscape luminaires.

LANDSCAPE LIGHTING

Nothing makes your home look more beautiful and "upscale" than a professionally installed landscape lighting system. By installing landscape lighting, your home and landscape remain beautiful after dark as well as in the daylight hours.

Landscape lighting also significantly improves security around your home. Unwanted intruders shy away from homes with lighting. The low voltage systems provide for low cost operation and installation is surprisingly affordable.

Northern Westchester Irrigation provides a complete landscape lighting service. We will meet with you at your property and lay out a custom designed lighting system that accentuates the specific attributes of your home and landscaping, so your home will stand out at night in a unique way.

SEASONAL SERVICES

Fall Shut Down - It is extremely important to have your sprinkler system properly shut down in the fall. Freezing water inside pipes causes severe damage to the system and requires costly repairs to rectify. Northern Westchester Irrigation will completely blow all the water out of your system's pipes and shut the system down for the season. Please call our office for scheduling beginning in late September / Early October.

Spring Turn On - To prepare your system for the season, Northern Westchester Irrigation turns your system on, checks all system components and runs a thorough test to make sure everything is working properly. Any damaged components are repaired and your system is set to go for another season. Spring turn-ons are done starting in mid-April through May. Please call our office to schedule.
